After listening to all of the various campaign spokespeople and some of the candidates, I have come to two conclusions. The candidates from both parties are spewing their party line. There is not one original thought among them. They are being dictated to by the party hierarchy. It is by the party, for the party, and of the party. The people be damned.
I find Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Mile Huckabee, and Ron Paul particularly onerous and odorous. These are very dangerous people. They are inexperienced on several levels, are corrupt, hypocritical, dishonest, and would destroy not only the Middle Class, but the country as a whole.
I find John Edwards is the most odious. He lives in the swamp of political corruption. He rails against the special interests, yet he is a product of the special interests. According to him special interests are evil, unless of course they are the ABA, the trial lawyers, organized labor, and moneyed social interest groups. There are evil special interests and there are John Edwards’s special interests. . John Edwards claims he is the champion of the Middle Class. He is our mortal enemy. Edwards would destroy the Middle Class in his quest against our employers- corporate America. He is a bold faced liar. If he is elected you will be out of a job. If he goes after corporate America, he is going after your employer and your job.
Hillary Clinton is just purely dishonest and totally secretive. There is no transparency; what you see is what you get, a brick wall. We know nothing about her- zero, zilch, nada; unless she tells us and that is not much. Her public records are sealed under the order of her husband. Truth and Hillary are antipodal. She has continually lied about her experience, her public service, and her time in the White House. She is also dangerous. Under her regime we would have to bear a burden- taxation- for the privilege of living in America. That translates into higher taxes on the Middle Class. Bill Clinton did not raise taxes on the wealthy. He raised taxes on the Middle Class. She would do the same. She is against anyone attaining wealth unless their last name is Clinton. The only oath to wealth is through the Middle Class.
I do not like Mike Huckabee because I really do not trust another Southern governor as President, especially a so called spiritual one. The last two were abject failures and disasters. I especially do not trust an Arkansas ex-governor. Arkansas is one of the most politically corrupt states in the Union.
Ron Paul is part of the lunatic fringe. As impossible as it seems he is a combination of extreme left wing radicals and extreme right wing reactionaries. He can raise big bucks in a short time though.
None of the candidates are stating what they would do, not what the party wants, but what they would actually do. The media is playing softball with them. I think I will title this campaign as the Mediocrity Tour.
