The Russians seem to be more progressive than we are, even the Democrats, when it comes to electing officals to their Duma.  Video

CH CH CH CHANGES

I guess Bill Clinton isn’t doing his job well enough.  Michelle Malkin reports on a very important decision made my the Democratic party.  It has far reaching implications and firms their claims of being the progressive party of change.  A jacka** will play a prominent role when Democrats meet in August to nominate their presidential candidate.

You have to love those Democrats, the oh, so, progressive party.  They have a new jack a** to be their mascot at the convention in Denver.  The Democratic operatives, including a Senator, attended- no kidding here- a donkey pageant at the Donkey and Mule show during the National Western Stock Show.  I thought progressive politically correct people do not attend pageants, especially those demeaning to animals.

Before the contest began, Leah Daughtry, another contest judge and chief executive of the Democratic National Convention Committee, said she was looking for "traits our candidate will have also -- the right amount of vigor and energy, a cool temper but feisty when you need to be."

Remind you of anyone?  They picked a donkey that beat out the other finalists.  His name is Mordecai.  Mordecai is seven years old and will be the live mascot at the convention.

Folks, this is your Democratic Party at work; your elected officials at a donkey pageant.  Bill Clinton was fading, so they send a Senator and other elected officials to pick a new jack a** to represent the Party.  But there may be a scandal brewing.  It may be election fraud.  Mordecai’s owner is a Democratic operative and candidate for office.

Mordecai's owner, Curtis Imrie, a two-time Democratic congressional candidate from southwestern Colorado, said his donkey will do the Democrats proud.

"He'll be the party animal of the party, now that he's the official 'a**cot,'" Imrie said.

THOSE PESKY PRIVILEGES

The social justice adherents and some members of the legal community rant, rage, and rail about law enforcement and prosecutors trying and convicting alleged innocent people.

Now This

For a quarter of a century, defense lawyers Dale Coventry and Jamie Kunz were bound by the rules of law to hold onto a secret that now could mean freedom for a man serving a life sentence for murder.

The secret -- memorialized in a notarized affidavit that they locked in a metal box -- was that their client, Andrew Wilson, admitted that he shotgunned to death a security guard at a McDonald's restaurant on the South Side in January 1982.

Bound to silence by attorney-client privilege, Kunz and Coventry could do nothing as another man, Alton Logan, 54, was tried and convicted instead.

Note: Their client, Andrew Wilson, was charged with the murder of two Chicago Police Officers.  Though he made claims of police torture, every court, including the SCOTUS, upheld his conviction.  He died in prison last year.

Attorney-client privilege is a sacred bond in the legal community.  In other professions it has been breached through legislation.  Professionals- physicians, therapists, social workers, etc. are mandated reporters in many states.  Lawyers are excluded.  Is it time to change the rules?

WHO IS QUALIFIED?

Disclaimer:

I am not a Democrat nor am I advocating their party or platform.  I am simply stating the obvious and providing ammunition.

The Democrats are about to make history.  They have the first viable Black running for president and the first viable woman.  Hillary Clinton is running on this and counting on it to win.  She believes she should be the first, and probably only- to preserve the legacy- female president.  She claims she is vetted, experienced, ready to lead on day one, is the inevitable candidate, is the anointed candidate, is the one and only.

Oh, but there is another woman.  She has been consistent in her positions throughout her political career.  She is everything Mrs. Clinton is not, including happily married.

She is everything Hillary Clinton is not; experienced, ready, willing, vetted, viable, and electable.  Unlike Mrs. Clinton.  She also, unlike Mrs. Clinton has paid her dues.  I do not know what the Democratic Party leaders were thinking when they allowed Mrs. Clinton to run.  They should have convinced, in any and all ways possible, the only woman who has all the credentials to run.

That woman is Nancy Pelosi.  Hillary Clinton is nothing compared to Nancy Pelosi.  If Nancy Pelosi did run the public would see the real face, or two faces of the Democratic Party.  It would be an election for the soul of America.

But that is all speculation.  The point is that Hillary Clinton does not deserve to be president, she is not qualified to be president, there are others more qualified and experienced, and she has not been vetted.  She is dishonest and compared to Nancy Pelosi, a liar.

RACE IS OVER

CANDIDATES BACK OFF OF RACE

Democratic presidential rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama stepped back from a controversy over race Monday night, agreeing that a prolonged clash over civil rights could harm their party's overall drive to win the White House.

How nice.  Hillary and Obama are going to play nice.  The world is now a better place, we all love each other.  How about a national group hug?

Give me a break.  That whole issue was so over blown that is bordered on lunacy.  Grwon adults, who want to be president of the United States arguing over who has the right to even mention Martin Luther King and what words are racial code words.

This is your Democratic Party.  The Clintons keep wanting to have this on going national discussion on race.  It consumes their lives as if it is the most important issue in the universe of ideas.

Discussion on race:  The world is made up of people of different races.  Can’t we all just get along.  End of discussion.  Easy.  Simple.  But not to a Democrat.  They are like that Lamb Chop song- This is the song that never ends…

Now this argument on race is kept alive by certain people in order for them to retain some semblance of relevance.  Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton come to mind, but they are not the only ones by a long shot.

Anyone who fell for that racial canard over the weekend has as much business voting as Clinton and Obama have being the President.  They Demonstrated to the nation that the Democratic Party is petty and ridiculous.  It is made of children, not adults.

I had respect for Mr. Obama until this.  Now I lump him in with all of the other Democrats.  None should ever hold high office again.  It is not that they are incapable of governing, it is that they are incapable of thinking.

RULES

PLAYING BY THE RULES?

"You know you notice that the rules were okay as long as you did what they wanted you to do."

The quote was in reference to the law suit filed by the teachers union in Las Vegas against the Nevada Democratic Party.  It challenges where the caucuses should be held.

The quote is probably one of the best of the campaign and he is on the mark.  This campaign for the White House, especially on the Democratic side is going to be interesting and probably dirty and bloody.

Before Obama became a force to be reckoned with, the normal campaign rules were okay.  There are two sets of rules now.  One set for the Clinton campaign and one set for all the rest.  Barak Obama is right.  As long as the media does what the Clintons want them to do the rules are okay.  As long as Barak Obama plays by the Clinton rules, he is okay.  If the media or Barak Obama do not do what the Clintons want, the rules change.

This campaign has been designed by the Clintons, by the Clintons and for the Clintons.  They Democratic Party is allowing this to go on.  It is time for Barak Obama and the media to break the rules.  The rules are not okay.  Barak has to go on the attack and not care about the Clinton rules.  He needs to get more of the media to shed light on and scrutinize Clinton.  If he doesn’t, he will go down as the light weight candidate.

The rules have to be broken now.  If Hillary does get the nod, the campaign will get even uglier, as the Republicans do not have to be bound by Hillary’s rules and the media will only tolerate her one sided nonsense for only so long; especially if the Republicans keep beating the drum of fairness.

I have respect for Barak Obama.  I do not agree with his politics, but I respect him as a person.  He can be the David to smash the Clinton Goliath; only if he does not play by the rules.

SUPPRESSION

I have pulled some excerpts from the following article.  The author makes a good case for social and government collusion in the suppression of free speech.  He cites examples of such collusion.  The question posed is what do we, as citizens, opiners, and citizen journalists do about it?

RACE FOR THE AMERICAN MIND

The attack upon free expression is more varied than one may think but I'll start with the obvious.  Most have heard of the euphemistically-named "Fairness Doctrine," which would essentially eliminate traditionalist talk radio.

Then we have hate speech laws, which empower governments to punish people of politically incorrect passions…  And as hate speech laws become more entrenched and accepted, the list of taboos of the tongue grows longer - and more widespread.  They're coming soon to a theater of social operations near you.

If political correctness continues to capture minds and hearts, the pressure - both governmental and social - to call truth "hate speech" and censor it will continue to grow.

This brings us to the race for the American mind.  If we could influence enough citizens to reject political correctness and oust public officials who serve its ends - if we could sufficiently transform the culture - the dropping of this iron muzzle could be forestalled.  By spreading the truth we could ensure that the thought police wouldn't succeed in suppressing it.

STRATEGY

Clinton and Obama Latin Strategy

Sergio Bendixen, a political consultant from Miami who heads Mrs. Clinton's Latino strategy.

Mr. Obama has also aggressively courted the Latino vote. A year ago, he persuaded Gloria Romero, majority leader of the California Senate, to help coordinate his Latino strategy.

Question?  Do either of the candidates have a Caucasian or European American strategy?  Do they have a Black strategy?  Of course not!  That would appear to be either racist or pandering.  I would bet they have a Native American Strategy and of course they probably have a Muslim strategy.

How about just a plain old American strategy?  A strategy that will benefit all Americans, and I mean all?  I guess that is too much to hope for.

SUNDAY MORNING

Bush and Congress Push for Stimulus Package

In a fresh sign of the possibility of an agreement on a roughly $100 billion package of tax cuts and spending to spur the economy, Nancy Pelosi of California, the speaker of the House, and Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, wrote to President Bush on Friday saying, “We want to work with you.”

President Bush wants to stimulate the economy with tax cuts and making the current cuts permanent.  The legislature is willing, but wants to increase spending to stimulate the economy.  I do not understand.  How does more government spending stimulate the economy?

Could Edwards be the Spoiler

In a largely two-person race between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, it's clear where Edwards's sentiments lie. If he can't be the nominee, he strongly prefers Obama.

John Edwards never had a chance.  If he does not win something soon, he will be out.  The real issue is will he throw in with Barak Obama?  If he throws his support behind Mr. Obama, Mrs. Clinton could have a real problem.  That is if Mr. Edwards support is more than words.  If he throws his support in total, including campaigning on Mr. Obama’s behalf, Mrs. Clinton will have to scramble.

Mrs. Clinton’s whole campaign is based on that old Clinton- Bill’s- magic and Democratic nostalgia.  Mr. Obama has documented what he has done to change the lives of people and solve their problems.  He may not have a long record, but at least he has one.  Mrs. Clinton just tells us she has a long record in public policy, with no specific proof or documentation.

NYC OBAMA v.s. CLINTON

With Senator Barack Obama vowing to challenge Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on her home turf, the Democratic presidential primary in New York on Feb. 5 is shaping up as the state’s most competitive since 1992, when Bill Clinton took up a rival’s mantra of change to all but cinch the nomination.

This will be interesting.  Hillary Clinton may actually have to defend and document her record for the first time.  She will have to tell the people of New York, the state she represents, what she has done for them- not the rest of the nation, but for New Yorkers.

All Obama has to do is ask questions.  Hillary can no longer duck and hide.  It is no longer a matter of what she says.  It is a matter of what she refuses to tell us and if there is anything really there.

KRIMINAL KOS

One last thought on the enfant terrible of the Democratic party and the new media juvenile delinquent.  If Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, or Karl Rove, in his new incarnation, proposed what Kos is proposing here, he would raise a firestorm of hue and cry.  He would demand federal investigations, FEC investigations, and make all kinds of accustions of crimes by the Right.

Must be nice to be a Lefty doyen.  You get to have your cake and eat it to.  Say what you want, do what you want.  No responsibility, no maturity, and no apology.  Typical juevenile behavior.

IS KOS ADVOCATING CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR?

So why are we doing this? Because we can. Because it'll be fun. And because we've suffered Republican meddling, stealing, and disenfranchisement in our elections for far too long.

So get the word out and get out the vote!. Email below the fold.

Christopher Hitchens

Love him or hate him, Christopher Hitchens does have a way with words. These are excerpts from a column in today’s Chicago Sun Times.

"Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, a Democratic presidential aspirant, is the current beneficiary of a tsunami of drool."

"…while his supporters -- most especially the white ones -- sob happily that at last we can have an African-American chief executive."

"Off to the side, snarling with barely concealed rage, are the Clinton machine-minders, who, having failed to ignite the same kind of identity excitement with an aging and resentful female…"

"Isn't there something pathetic and embarrassing about this emphasis on shade? And why is a man with a white mother considered to be "black," anyway?"

"If you wanted a "black" president or vice president so much, you could long ago have turned out en masse for Angela Davis -- also the first woman to be on a national ticket -- or for Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. So, why didn't you? Could it have been the politics?"

MORE ON KOS

Is KOS joking or advocating criminal behavior?

Kos, Markos Moulitsas Zuiniga, has been injecting his opinions into the presidential race. I believe he has a default strategy here, and it's not for Obama or Clinton.  It is to become a Democratic power broker at any and all costs.  He is now advocating voter tampering and vote fraud.

Let's start that this guy is a major winner.  For some reason, this immature pseudo-intellectual is taken seriously by the party, media types and editors.  He writes for many media outlets and he snagged Newsweek recently along with Karl Rove. His vision was for a generation of far left, radical Democratic rule.

The demographics of America are against his policies and tactics of divide and conquer politics.  People are fed up with the childish activities of the elected officials who are supposed to be representing them and working on their behalf and for their good.  Now, we have the childish activity of a major political and media player.

Confronted with candidates who are basically tied in the race and have no real documented experience in public policy with an electorate that is angry at both the Democrats and the Republicans, the most he can do right now is his specialty: injecting hate, fear, childish criticism, teenage pranks, frat boy mischief and now election tampering  and fraud.  This is the same type of behavior that sent people to prison during the Watergate scandal.

Kos has learned that people, especially far left Democrats, are easily swayed and will fall for and believe anything.  How else does one explain the popularity of the Daily Kos.  Democrats have a long history of tampering, corruption, political high jinks, and pranks to win elections.  Their ethic is based on the eleventh commandment- thou shalt not get caught.  Now it is also if thou dost get caught- just apologize and move on.

But again, when you consider the election fraud he advocates in his recent post and the lack of criticism of it, you can understand how far Democrats have come in their corrupt policies and platforms.  Any means justify the end as long as you win.

In Mr. Moulitsas-Zuiniga’s case, this is a serious issue that is not being taken seriously.  He is a known and popular member of the media now.  He is no longer some neophyte propaganda creator feeding the conspiracy theories of far left liberals.  KOS, as he likes to be called, has no ethics, no morals, no standards, and no values.  Why is he allowed to write for major media organs and why is he taken seriously is a mystery, an enigma, and now a very bad joke.

No other media person would be allowed to get away with this type of immature and potential criminal conduct.  This goes beyond free speech, as he is advocating behavior.  Elections, even primaries are serious business, especially this one.  No one, especially a major player, should be allowed to play teenage pranks and merry mischief to achieve a desired result.

IS KOS A CRIMINAL

So why are we doing this? Because we can. Because it'll be fun. And because we've suffered Republican meddling, stealing, and disenfranchisement in our elections for far too long.

So get the word out and get out the vote!. Email below the fold.

Dear [Friend],

We're not going to beat around the Bush. If you want to help make mischief for the Republican Party - and bolster the Democrats' chances for taking the White House this November - read on!

Kos, aka Markos Moulitsas, is advocating that Democrats make mischief for Republican voters to bolster the Democrats chances.  He is advocating that Democrats in Michigan vote for Mitt Romney.  He thinks that this will be a great prank because Mitt will win Michigan with Liberal support and invalidate his Conservatism.  I know KOS is supposed to be educated, but I guess he never studied history.  Much of the Watergate scandal had to do with election pranks and creating mischief.  People were indicted and imprisoned for pranks and mischief.  KOS is advocating Michigangate.

If we can help push Mitt over the line, not only do we help keep their field fragmented, but we also pollute Romney's victory. How "legitimate" will the Mittster's victory look if liberals provide the margin of victory? Think of the hilarity that will ensue. We'll simply be adding fuel to their civil war, never a bad thing from our vantage point.

Kos is irresponsible and demonstrates the total irresponsibility of Democrats.  He is advocating that Democratic voters meddle, steal, and disenfranchise Republican voters.  He is advocating tampering with an election.  He is advocating that voters commit election fraud.

The reason?  Hilarity.  Markos Moulitsas thinks that elections are nothing more than hilarious pranks.  I wonder why Newsweek gave him a column.  Markos Moulitsas has abdicated any right he ever had to criticize in the media.  He has no credibility.   He is advocating something that may even be criminal.  He is irresponsible, corrupt, and juvenile.  He is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party.  The Democratic Party has been the party of continuing political corruption for generations.  Now the new generation is proving it is just as corrupt as their ancestors.

I have an idea.  Mr. Moulitsas writes columns for several media outlets.  We should all send an Email to them with the link above and demand he be fired for political corruption, interfering with an election, election tampering, his lack of credibility, and bringing disgrace to their publications.

MEDIA LOVE FEST

Let us all take a deep breath here.  Iowa and New Hampshire are finally over.  These two states are nothing more than minor bumps on the road to the White House.  In total they are less than ten percent of the voting population.  They do get a ton of publicity because one is the first caucus and one is the first primary.

John Edwards put things in the proper perspective when he stated that there were forty eight states left.  Some of those states have cities with populations larger than Iowa and New Hampshire.  They also have more delegates.

There are no real winners among the top tier candidates.  None are really in the lead.  The margins are too slim to claim which candidate is the favorite.  Of course in Hillary’s case, she would consider herself the favorite if she were at the bottom of the pile.

The real problem here is the hype.  There is way too much of it.  It distracts from the real issues that face us as a nation.  The media has become enamored and enchanted by its role and has lost any credibility.  There has not been one case of good reporting or coverage on any of the candidates.  The only people who are stirring things up are the editorial writers and they are biased, and rightfully so.  It is opinion.  Watching the rest is like watching Entertainment Tonight.

The media people are so smitten they are acting like teenage girls around some teen idol.  They are excited and giggly.  I am waiting to see a reporter show up with pimples and braces.

We have almost a year of this left.  If this love fest keeps up, I may just switch and get my news and views from the National Enquirer.
