How soon we forget. The reason the Republicans have been in the majority for only twelve years is that voters across the political spectrum were fed up with the forty year iron grip that the Democrats had on the legislature. This reign of terror caused massive economic downturns, unemployment, loss of industries, increases in taxes on the Middle Class and especially Middle Class retirees, benefit cuts to veterans and senior citizens, and racial warfare over ridiculous policies like affirmative action; just to name a few.
Diversity, multi-cultureless, and secular humanism were shoved down our throats against our wills. It is not OK to force feed geese and ducks for fois gras, but it is OK to force feed people beliefs which are contrary to cultures, traditions, and the Constitution.
The Democrats are real big on social engineering and have no intellect or intelligence regarding simple economics. As to National Security, during their forty years in power, they cut military spending, eviscerated the Intelligence and National Security apparatus, and negotiated with terrorists and terrorist organizations causing the problems we have today. The Democrats are short term, political expedient problem solvers. They never consider the long term effects of their social, economic, or security solutions. Fix it now, spend the money and take it from some place else. The Republicans believe in political effectiveness.
The Democrats believe in equal outcome over equality, libertine over liberty, forced indoctrination over freedom, and false wealth redistribution through regressive taxation over true wealth creation. They believe in oppression instead of opportunity; welfare is oppression. They believe in penalization over incentives. Before the Republicans took over twelve years ago, the country was heading for economic, cultural, and moral bankruptcy. If the Democrats win, it will happen. The Democrats practice the high art of hypocrisy. When they commit an egregious error in judgment, it is an honest mistake. When the Republicans do something similar, it is a scandal.
The Republicans have shot themselves in the foot over some issues, but in the long run, I would rather pay lower taxes, feel secure, and be able to practice my freedoms guaranteed under the US Constitution, not the UN or EU Constitutions. I would want to pass my already taxed once wealth over to my children with no further penalty. I want to live in freedom and liberty to openly practice the traditions embedded in our great Judeo-Christian Heritage; not the made up fantasy traditions and pseudo culture the Democrats would force us to celebrate. I want to live in a safe and secure environment with the full knowledge that if we are threatened, the preemption or retaliation will be swift, brutal, effective, and send the message that were are strong and tough.
I want to live in a country where if you play by the rules, the world is your oyster, and if you break the rules you pay the price. I want to live in a country where each individual has worth, value, and dignity. A country where opportunity is unlimited by political interference and where tradition and culture is practiced without political intolerance.
