The Nation Savages Limbaugh
The Nation is complaining, whining, and sniveling over Rush Limbaugh’s treatment of Michael J. Fox. Now I respect heir opinion and right to express it, but here is where they go off the rails:
Since Fox began speaking up in favor of candidates who support science over superstition…
All credible, multi-disciplinary scientific research so far has determined that stem cell research is voodoo science, just like Global Warming.
And this:
Fox's ads are fact-based. They reference the voting records, public statements and policy initiatives of the Democratic and Republican candidates he is talking about.
They voted against embryonic stem cell research because it is pseudo science, not because they are cruel, inhumane people. That is fact based. The science does not hold up. That is fact based.
Then they couch the argument over the abortion issue. Yeah, I know we are not supposed to use that dirty word, but that is what it is. This has nothing to do with abortion or anti- abortion. Embryonic stem cell research has proven ineffective and dangerous. There are better methods.
This is about one thing and one thing only. Special interest groups- lobbyists- who are acting on behalf of the laboratories and private corporations who want those millions or billions of dollars in federal money to make themselves rich. It is all about the money. The lobbyists get rich, the companies get rich, and no one gets cured.
Michael J. Fox is a shill. He is shilling for the labs, the corporations, and the Democrats. He is shilling for snake oil salesmen. The Nation is shilling for the most powerful of the Snake oil sales force, the Democratic Party.
